Let the war begin
So the faithful
Shall honor their god
By dying like mujahedeens
Let families be destroyed
So that pain and misery
Becomes a everyday meal for
Children
Who will never know their parents
Let lovers choose insanity
To brave the solitude of monogamy
And lament to complexity of extramarital fantasies
So that separation is an option they marry
Let the poet stop writing
So lips will no longer be used for kisses
And flowers will never picked for ladies
Then love and death join the war of the roses
Let the visionary shut the eyes of the future
So dreams cease to creep over one’s sleep
While the philosopher
Shall stop asking
For even the saints and sages
Cannot stop the great war
Let the protagonist
Believe in the enemy
So the war can begin
And the people of the earth
Shall never forget what leaders
Are capable of doing
Let the radicals go home to their wives
While the deities are sleep
So they can have a good fuck
As an antidote to uselessness
Let anonymity live in the hearts of people
So that neighbors shall come and go without a name
Then laughter shall be kept inside the closet
For historians to discover in the saddest times
