To play against the Gods

To destroy sacred grounds

For superficial flare

And temporary existence 

Who are we

To disrespect our ancestors

To destroy urum and tombs

Seasoned as holy landscapes

Which existed before we stepped on this island

Who are we

Not to see

Through the eyes of Kim Young Gap

Who foretold the golden Jeju beauty

Immortalized forever

In his photographs

Who are we

To forget easily

That we do not own the land

But like dead horses bones

We return to earth

For the land own us

Who are we

Not to see the infinite stars

And vow with gratitude

Like horses showing reverence 

Finding grass beneath the snow

For even in coldest winter

Warms human 

Who are we

To violate the cycle of life

Witnessing birth of horses

Calling for change of hearts

Who are we

To dishonor our ancestors

The land where flags

Carry their flying spirits

As if shouting for justice

Who are we

To tarnish the land of our birth

Welcoming visitors from far away places

Sharing the same sky and sea

So we may all live 

In the land of God's

Who are we

Not to be deeply moved 

By the urgent message 

of Kim Soo Oh

To respond like determined army

Not only for Kpop idols

But to preserve and protect the land of beauty

For one can never bring back

Once gone

Who are we

To ignore the shimmering silver grass

As if entitled to step on any non human 

For some flowers grow only to celebrate a specific season

Life has good timing 

Like waiting for the whole year to meet beotjoot again in perfect bloom
